Admissions & Programs
Admissions at HopeBright School
Hopebright School welcomes young people who have experienced difficulties in mainstream or specialist education due to social, emotional, or behavioural needs. We offer a structured, supportive environment for learners with Education, Health & Care (EHC) Plans, enabling them to rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, & achieve positive outcomes.
Who We Support!
We work with learners placed by a range of local authorities, including Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Salford, Wigan, & Blackburn with Darwen, along with other neighbouring councils across the Greater Manchester & Lancashire areas.
Admissions are considered based on:
- Availability of places within the school
- An Education, Health & Care (EHC) Plan or Statement of Special Educational Needs.
- Agreement & support from the referring local authority.
- Active engagement from parents or carers.
- A shared view that Hopebright School is an appropriate setting to meet the child’s needs

Referrals are usually submitted through the Local Authority Education or Social Care teams. We encourage parents & carers to visit the school prior to submitting documentation.

- A recent Educational Psychologist report.
- Current academic attainment information.
- The most recent school report.
- Relevant social history, including any Social Care involvement.
- Medical information details of any specific support needs.
- Information regarding behavioural patterns and presentation
